Christina Rosso-Schneider (she/they) is a queer, disabled writer and bookseller based outside of Philadelphia. She co-owns A Novel Idea on Passyunk, an independent bookstore and event space, with her bearded husband. Since opening in 2018, A Novel Idea has been featured by Philadelphia Magazine, NBC10, PHL17, Travel + Leisure, and Forbes, and The Philadelphia Inquirer named it one of the best bookstores in the region. In 2016, Christina received an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English from Arcadia University. She is the author of CREOLE CONJURE (Maudlin House) and SHE IS A BEAST (APEP Publications). Their fiction and nonfiction work centers around gender, sexuality, fairy tales, and the occult, and has been nominated for Best of the Net, Best Small Fictions, and the Pushcart Prize. She is represented by Eric Smith at Neighborhood Literary. Christina has been a guest speaker at Widener University, Rosemont College, Museum for Art in Wood, and Fox 29’s The Ladies Room. Currently, she teaches in the Humanities department at Moore College of Art and Design. When Christina isn’t writing or working at the bookstore, they lead workshops on writing and the occult.
